I am going to eliminate your concerns by telling you what to expect, what you need to do to be successful, and what makes this a professional career.

My Passion is caring for children...it has taken me a LONG WAY over the years and it continues to today. I have enjoyed it so much its hard to call it a child care job.

What is your motivation?

- Are you a mom who wanted to be at home with her kids, or a new mommy and you are absolutely dreading that you have to back to work after having your baby? (heart breaking!). You obviously love kids and you have room in your heart for more... and maybe- just maybe- this could be the answer you've been looking for to being a stay-at-home mom.

-Think about this- Your kids could have playmates while learning to share with and care for others(that become like brothers and sisters). And in the mean time you are enjoying being with your kids, doing a "job" you love, PLUS earning some extra (and sometimes pretty substantial) income!

- Maybe you are like one of my child care provider friends. She is not a mom (and that's alright, you don't have to be!), but she absolutely adores kids. She was working in a child care center where she was pathetically underpaid and over-worked. She finally got tired of it and became a home provider so she could set her own hours, amount of children she cared for and pay rate... be her OWN boss. What a great idea, don't you think?!?

- Just sick and tired of the rat race? The commute? The long hours of working for someone else? You hate your job? No job satisfaction... but you need a good, decent paying job? Want something where you are needed, and shown love and care everyday?

28 years ago MY PASSION was... My first son Austin was born 6 weeks prematurely. He spent the first 6 weeks of his tiny life away from me and my husband in a hospital 2 hours away. He had severe complications and a rough start and there was NO WAY I was going to leave him in daycare, much less in some one else's hands. I wanted to be home with him, nurture him, experiencing his "firsts". But sadly, with hospital bills mounting, I also needed to have an income to help support our family. I knew child care jobs held an answer.

Of course my son is grown (and doing great)! My passion for caring for children, whether they are mine or belong to others, remains strong, which has helped me succeed in my child care job.
